Studying with my dog

About:
Studying with my dog earlier this fall.

William Welsh

I’m currently a student pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Quantitative Methods and Social Analysis at Northeastern University. I previously received a Bachelor of Science in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Northeastern in 2019.

Outside of school, I’m employed as a Senior Investigator in the Medicaid Fraud Division of the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General. I have been employed by the AGO since 2017, when I started there on my first co-op.

While I had familiarity with R and Python prior to Visualization Technologies 1, this course provided my first experience utilizing languages used for data visualization and interactivity. Languages and packages learned include:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Javascript
  • p5.js
  • Leaflet.js
  • d3.js
  • Vega-Lite
